Anchorwoman

Positioned to be America’s first primetime solo-anchorwoman, Jessica Savitch was the “Golden Girl” of NBC Network News in 1977. Her meteoric rise inspired the Will Ferrell comedy Anchorman but her tragic death at age 36 uncovered a far darker story. A feature documentary about how heroines are destroyed with impossible expectations, ANCHORWOMAN reveals the untold life and unsung legacy of America’s once most trusted woman.
